Other Roles for
Mental Health Staff
Mental health staff can become advocates against domestic violence
not only in their work with their own clients, but also by:
- Participating in
local domestic violence coordinating committees, boards of domestic
violence shelters, or similar groups.
- Volunteering at
local domestic violence shelters.
- Speaking to legislators,
sheriffs, police chiefs, and prosecutors about domestic violence.
- Joining The
Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence, and other organizations
fighting domestic violence.
