You may want to have your client complete the Response to Violence Inventory: Strategies to Escape, Avoid and Survive Abuse to assist you in providing counseling, education or referrals. Sometimes reviewing these options and/or events with a client can bring them to a realization about the dangers of their situation. It can be a good eye-opener as well as a helpful tool.
