A Coordinated Community Response
As expertise in the field of domestic violence has progressed, there is growing recognition of the importance of having a coordinated community response to this problem. While domestic violence centers are a critical component in an effective response, they are only one part of a successful effort.

Almost every institution within a community should take responsibility for ending domestic violence. Research indicates that there are fewer domestic violence homicides in those communities that have organized coordinated responses.
